Armenian History Film Series
History as a civilizational journey!
What is the Armenian History Film Series?
Armenian History is an original documentary–animation film series by the “Bardzunk” Educational Movement, created to present the history of the Armenian people in a comprehensive, continuous, and research-based way – from the formation of the nation to the present day.
The series is conceived as a modern educational and cultural tool, combining academic historical research, animation, and the latest artificial intelligence technologies.
Why was this film series created?
Armenian history is exceptional in its depth, continuity, and complexity. For decades, historical narratives have largely been structured around dynasties and rulers. While important, this approach often failed to reveal the full political and civilizational picture, especially Armenia’s place within broader global developments.
This film series aims to:
- present Armenian history as a continuous process rather than fragmented episodes,
place Armenian historical developments within their global political and civilizational context, - make history accessible, visual, and understandable for contemporary audiences,
- foster a conscious, dignified, and analytical relationship with the past.
This is not only a story about the past – it is a story for the present and the future.
How is the film series created?
The production of the Armenian History film series is based on several core principles:
- Research-based scripts
Each episode’s script is developed by historians and scholars, grounded in academic sources and contemporary historiography, avoiding simplifications or distortions.
- Use of Artificial Intelligence
The films are produced using cutting-edge AI tools, allowing for high visual quality, efficiency, and scalability.
- Professional animation and visual design
AI-generated visuals are refined and enhanced by professional animators and graphic designers, ensuring accuracy, aesthetics, and narrative coherence.
- Meticulous sound design
Special attention is given to narration, music, and soundscapes to create an immersive historical atmosphere and emotional depth.
When and where is the project implemented?
- The series is planned to consist of 15 episodes,
- Each episode lasts approximately 10–12 minutes,
- The first episode has already been completed and published as a pilot.
Currently, the project is in the fundraising and partnership-building phase, seeking support to produce the remaining 14 episodes and complete the full series.
The films are intended for online distribution, ensuring wide public accessibility.
What outcomes do we expect?
Upon completion, the Armenian History film series aims to deliver:
- a coherent and continuous narrative of Armenian history,
- increased interest in history, particularly among younger audiences,
- a high-quality audiovisual resource for education and public discourse,
- strengthened historical memory, national identity, and long-term thinking.
This series is a tool for education, self-awareness, and value-based understanding.

- The first episode was produced through a small-scale fundraising effort and significant volunteer contributions.
